Yamasen

Yamasen is a fusion of Japanese and African architecture. The two embrace simplicity and earthy beauty respectively.

The finished structure is an exquisite display that reminds one of the pyramids, traditional houses, and Japanese temples. The use of wood almost exclusively exudes warmth and intimacy in the restaurant section while the glass and consrete of the commercial space means business.

A new structure nestled among mature trees is a rarity in Kampala as sites are usually cleared completely but Yamasen stands out as an architecture that embraces nature in and out.
